Lighting the way for
a child's future.

Who We Are

Our mission is to reduce the trauma to children during the investigation and intervention of sexual or physical abuse through advocacy, education, intervention, and treatment.

What We Do

Through interviewing, medical evaluations, family advocacy & therapy, we’re able to help the families of Lapeer County.

Get Involved

We have so many ways you can help: volunteering, advocating, internships, & corporate engagements. Get involved today.

Donate

The Child Advocacy Center of Lapeer County relies solely on donations and volunteers for its programming. We appreciate every donation so much!

We're a Network of Hope

Together, we can do more.

This belief is at the core of who we are. Child Advocacy Centers (CACs) were born from this vision:
Everyone involved in child maltreatment investigations could do more to help the child if they worked together. We do this by offering the following services:

  • forensic interviews
  • sane/sart medical exams
  • crisis counseling
  • group therapy
  • court preparation and support
  • trauma-informed counseling
  • parent support
  • darkness to light: stewards of children training
  • personal safety and awareness program

"You have not lived today until you have done something for someone who can never repay you."
