Throughout the year, CAC Lapeer educated the Lapeer Community on the prevalence and consequences of child sexual abuse. Through the Darkness to Light training, adults were educated about the steps they can take to prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to child sexual abuse.
Thank you to Otterlake Church, Lapeer Free Methodist Church, Oakland University, Early Childhood Special Education Teacher for Lapeer County, and additional community members for particitpating in this training! In total, this year, 72 adults participated in the Darkness to Light training and were educated on the role adults play in preventing, recognizing and reacting responsibly to child abuse.
