Hello! My name is Avery and I am in my third year at Oakland University. I am majoring in psychology and expect to graduate in May of 2024. I am interning here at the Child Advocacy Center of Lapeer County for the Fall Semester of 2022. So far I have really enjoyed working with the staff and learning about what the CAC does! When I’m not working or studying, I enjoy writing, spending time with my friends and family, and watching movies. One of my favorite movies of all time is Back to the Future, so much so that my sister and I dressed up as Doc Brown and Marty McFly for Halloween a couple of years ago! As a psychology major planning on working in the mental health field, this internship has allowed me the opportunity to learn about potential careers that I am interested in. I am excited to continue interning here throughout the semester and I look forward to gaining experience and knowledge related to this field.
